Playful and agile, these aquatic mammals are such a treat to witness! In ancient times it was believed that Dolphins were the messengers of the gods. This big copper dolphin pendant, designed by Patricia Healey, is an original creation made from pure copper. The rich and beautiful colors are achieved through heat treatment, bringing out vibrant reds and oranges, and then sealed with lacquer to protect the finish. The form of the dolphin is crafted using an old-fashioned technique called repoussé, where the metal is lifted from the reverse side to give the dolphin its shape. Additional definition and detail are achieved through hand stamping. This pendant is designed for necklaces and would be a wonderful addition for someone who loves dolphins and the ocean.

Care Instructions:
Spray a little Endust on a soft cloth and gently wipe your copper piece clean. It lifts away grit, lotion, sweat, even peanut butter (yes, really). Endust works wonders on metal, and over time it leaves behind a subtle wax buildup that helps protect the lacquer and enhance the shine.
Since lacquer can wear down from dry air or small scratches, this light cleaning method helps keep your copper looking vibrant while sealing over minor scuffs.
*Other spray polishes work too, but I stick with Endust. It's gentle, effective, and gives your copper a little extra oomph.
