This big copper dolphin pendant, designed by Patricia Healey, is an original creation made from pure copper. The rich and beautiful colors are achieved through heat treatment, bringing out vibrant reds and oranges, and then sealed with lacquer to protect the finish. The form of the dolphin is crafted using an old-fashioned technique called repoussé, where the metal is lifted from the reverse side to give the dolphin its shape. Additional definition and detail are achieved through hand stamping. This pendant is designed for necklaces and would be a wonderful addition for someone who loves dolphins and the ocean.
