Designed with detail on both sides, this handcrafted Cardita shell bead adds a coastal element to earrings or beaded necklaces. The form is shaped using the traditional repoussé technique, lifting the copper from the reverse side to create soft curves and structure. Hand stamping enhances the surface with subtle, shell-like texture. Flame-patinated in vibrant oranges and reds, each piece is sealed to hold its rich color. Pairs especially well with the larger Cardita shell pendant for a cohesive ocean-inspired design.

Caring for Patricia Healey Copper
Patricia Healey Copper components are sealed with a clear lacquer to help preserve the vibrant color and protect the surface. Over time, jewelry naturally picks up traces of lotion, sweat, and skin oils, and a gentle wipe with Endust helps keep your piece clean and well cared-for.
Endust is wax-free and silicone-free, with a touch of mineral oil that dissolves smudges and leaves a subtle, clean sheen. This helps preserve the lacquer’s clarity so the copper underneath stays vibrant and beautiful.
For added protection, you can also use Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish. Apply it sparingly with a soft cloth and be sure to buff it out completely. Used this way, it creates a thin, invisible layer that helps resist fingerprints and moisture, extending the life of your lacquer finish.
