This large puffy heart is an original design by Patricia Healey. Crafted from pure copper, it is strung from side to side and features a rich texture achieved through hand stamping. The form is created using an age-old technique known as repoussé, where the metal is raised from the reverse side, giving form to the heart. A vibrant array of colors, ranging from oranges to deep reds, is produced through the application of heat, and these stunning hues are then preserved with lacquer. This heart is a great design for a beaded necklace, making it both a timeless and universal symbol of love and affection!

Caring for Patricia Healey Copper
Patricia Healey Copper components are sealed with a clear lacquer to help preserve the vibrant color and protect the surface. Over time, jewelry naturally picks up traces of lotion, sweat, and skin oils, and a gentle wipe with Endust helps keep your piece clean and well cared-for.
Endust is wax-free and silicone-free, with a touch of mineral oil that dissolves smudges and leaves a subtle, clean sheen. This helps preserve the lacquer’s clarity so the copper underneath stays vibrant and beautiful.
For added protection, you can also use Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish. Apply it sparingly with a soft cloth and be sure to buff it out completely. Used this way, it creates a thin, invisible layer that helps resist fingerprints and moisture, extending the life of your lacquer finish.
