There's something about a tortoise that reminds us life doesn't have to be rushed. As an artist, I've always been drawn to that same slow and steady rhythm.
Handcrafted from genuine copper and brass, this tortoise captures that peaceful spirit with a textured brass shell, expressive copper features, and a gentle stride that gives the impression it's quietly making its way through the day. The spiral on the bail complements the organic feel of the design.
The shell features hand-tooled textures that give it depth and character. Wear it as a necklace pendant, display it as a small ornament, or add it to a collection inspired by nature. Its size looks especially nice on an 18-inch necklace or shorter.
Handmade and flame-finished, each piece will have its own unique color variation. Sealed with lacquer to help protect the finish.

Caring for Patricia Healey Copper
Patricia Healey Copper components are sealed with a clear lacquer to help preserve the vibrant color and protect the surface. Over time, jewelry naturally picks up traces of lotion, sweat, and skin oils, and a gentle wipe with Endust helps keep your piece clean and well cared-for.
Endust is wax-free and silicone-free, with a touch of mineral oil that dissolves smudges and leaves a subtle, clean sheen. This helps preserve the lacquer’s clarity so the copper underneath stays vibrant and beautiful.
For added protection, you can also use Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish. Apply it sparingly with a soft cloth and be sure to buff it out completely. Used this way, it creates a thin, invisible layer that helps resist fingerprints and moisture, extending the life of your lacquer finish.
