The copper bee pendant, an original design by Patricia Healey, is crafted from pure copper with brass accents. Vibrant oranges and reds are achieved through torch firing and sealed with lacquer. The traditional repoussé technique, where metal is lifted from the reverse side, gives the bee its form. Patricia has hand-stamped additional texture and design throughout the body and wings, enhancing its appearance. The bail is soldered at an angle on the back, creating a sense of movement.
