My process for making the copper components. We’ve manipulated the color of the copper using genuine top shelf copper and changing the colors using both heat and chemistry. Read on!:
My line of wire designs starts out with electrical quality copper wire, (we work off of a BIG 25# spools), we bend and twist each design into shape soldering it into place with a bronze brazing stick. We then hammer in the texture. *I love to add texture to each of my designs as it gives the piece depth according to how the light hits that texture. To get the rich colors we use our top secret patination formula and then fire it up with a torch. Finally, the color is sealed in with a metal lacquer.
